Information Session

This free information session will give you an overview of ATD Nashville Chapter's Summer 2026 Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) Study Group and what you can expect. This study group is designed for talent development professionals who are pursuing the APTD certification. 

Who can register:

  • The APTD Study Group is fully virtual and open to anyone, anywhere who is interested in pursuing the Association for Talent Development's APTD certification
  • Out-of-state and international participants are welcome
  • ATD Nashville chapter membership is not required, but ATD Nashville chapter members receive discounted pricing on registration for the full 12-week cohort.
  • We love our other ATD chapter friends! If you are a member of another ATD Chapter, you also qualify for discounted member pricing with proof of current chapter membership

Meeting Details:

  • This session will cover an introduction from your study group facilitators, tips and advice for exam prep, the study group weekly schedule, content that will be covered in the sessions, cost, resources, and a chance to get your questions answered by our facilitators about APTD certification prep.

Study Group Cohort Registration:

Please note that this event is only the free information session about study group. If you would like to attend the entire 12-week study group cohort from June-August 2026, there will be more information about how to register that will be discussed during this information session.

About the Facilitators:


Shelly Reed, CPTD is ATD Nashville’s President and has been CPTD certified since 2024. She is excited to share her love of data and analytics and recent certification journey.


Josh Jeffries, CPTD is ATD Nashville's Past President and has been CPTD certified since 2017, and co-led the ATD Nashville APTD Study Group with Shelly for the past two years. He is excited to share his insights and experiences from the talent development space.
