In the State of the Global Workplace 2022 Report, Gallup found that 79% of employees polled are either not engaged or actively disengaged. They also explain that 67% of employees are not thriving in their overall wellbeing.
Despite advances in the DE&I space and leadership, reports like this illustrate that teams continue to struggle to build high performance, be inclusive, and practice psychological safety.
In this talk, Gary DePaul explores with you a deeper perspective of psychological safety. By attending, you'll learn from your colleagues about the challenges they have experienced with building high-performing teams. As a conversation structure, Gary will share Timothy R. Clark's four stages of psychological safety, which are (1) inclusion safety, (2) learner safety, (3) contributor safety, and (4) challenger safety. He'll end with a call-to-action.

Gary DePaul
For more than twenty years, Gary DePaul has helped professionals strengthen their culture and workforce performance. He is an author, consultant, speaker, podcaster, and performance consultant.
Before becoming an entrepreneur, Gary worked in HR and talent development departments at Lowe’s, Ceridian, Fidelity Information Services, Johnson Controls, and Arthur Andersen. He has managed multiple enterprise projects and teams.
Gary has earned a Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Continuing Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Having authored two leadership books, he speaks to organizations about leadership and culture change. Gary consults with executives to strengthen the health of their organizations, teams, and themselves.
Gary hosts the Unlabeled Leadership podcast, which has listeners in 87 countries and 900 cities or territories. To date, 31 platforms distribute the podcast.
